About Alex Munyasya

I am a Professor of Mechanical Engineering currently working at the Technical University of Kenya. My research Areas are Materials Engineering, Foundry Engineering, Additive Manufacturing, Energy. In addition to previous, Academic Qualifications, I have had the blessed opportunity to participate in a total of 4 Workshops under the project "East Africa Network of Excellence for Universities of Applied Science" namely:- • Applied Teaching and Learning - Curriculum Planning and Design Workshop 8th – 12th Oct. 2018, • Application – Oriented Research and Knowledge Transfer Workshop 26th – 30th Nov. 2018 • Technology Transfer Workshop 3rd – 7th Dec 2018, • Transfer Workshop 8th – 12th April 2019 The workshops carried the theme “Capacity Building on the German Model of Universities of Applied Sciences“. Skills gained: - Curriculum development in Applied Science that imparts Practical relevance by maintaining a soft boundary between the academy and Society. - Applied Research - Technology Transfer
